Synopsis

Mosses from an Old Manse and Other Stories written by Nathaniel Hawthorne, an American novelist who is best remembered for his fiction work “The Scarlet Letter”.
Hawthorne titled this short story collection in remembrance of his life with his wife at “The Old Manse”, a historic manse of American literary associations. Like many of his works, Mosses from an Old Manse are allegories with typical touch of Hawthorne and focuses on negativity of human nature.
The collection of tales which written by the author as short stories in a span of three years starting from 1842 to 1846, include “The Old Manse”, "The Birth-Mark", "A Select Party", "Young Goodman Brown", "Rappaccini's Daughter", "Mrs. Bullfrog" and "Buds and Bird-Voices" to name a few.
