The Federalist Papers is a series of essays co-authored by Alexander Hamilton, John Jay, and James Madison towards promoting ratification of the US constitution. Out of the 85 articles, 77 were already published in a series of journals during 1787 to 1788, in The New York Packet and The Independent Journal.
