Heidiis a children's fiction work written by Swiss writerJohanna Spyri, whose first novel "A Note on Vrony's Grave" dealt with the domestic violence against women. Heidi had been published in two parts titled as "Heidi's years of learning and travel" and "Heidi makes use of what she has learned".
Heidi, a little girl orphaned at the Age of Five, found her shelter with her aunt Dete. Couple of years later, Dete sends Heidi to her grandfather Alm, who lives in the Alps. Alm has been isolated by the villagers for being atheist. However Heidi's arrival and loving nature makes great changes to Alm's life as she is loved by his neighbors and all villagers. After 2 years Deti wanted to bring back Heiti to become companion of a invalid and wealthy girl Clara Sesseman. Heidi's efforts makes Clara's life colorful and she slowly started to live without wheel chair. Clara's family promises that they will take care of Heidi, if her grandfather can no more will be able to support her.
