A Christmas Carolwritten byCharles Dickensis a short story about a man’s transformation from a miser to a generous man, under the influence of Ghost of his business partner visit.
Ebenezer Scrooge, who is a wealthy industrialist and a miser who hates Christmas and neither celebrate himself nor help others to celebrate. Fred, the nephew of Ebenezer Scrooge invites him for a Christmas dinner, but awkwardly declined by Scrooge. Two gentlemen visit Scrooge and asking for donation from him to provide a Christmas dinner to poor people, but ill-treated by Scrooge. Scrooge’s only Christmas expense is giving a day leave with pay to his overworked under paid employee Bob Cratchit.
The rest of the story is narrated how his business partner Jacob Marley’s ghost visit to Scrooge transform him to a kind man and values the Christmas celebrations.
