Moral tales is a collection of stories of young and juvenile audience written by French writer Madame Guizot whose celebrity status as the wife of eminent French historian François Guizot did not help her positively in his writing career. She had unique style of narrating her stories and creating the situations which her young readers will start to believe themselves as the characters rather than fictitious one. The tales were so simple to understand even by the youngest kids, yet made good sense of vivid touch. The translator made valiant efforts to preserve the simplicity of the author’s tone throughout the book though omitted some expressions which are unsuitable for English country which in other way may convey a different meaning than author’s intention.
