Considered to be one of the finest English literature in spiritual genre, this book was written by the author during his imprisonment.Written in two parts, the first part narrates the protagonist Christian journey from the city of destruction to celestial city (this world to heaven). He departs from his home leaving his wife and children and does not persuade them to accompany him. The second part narrates pilgrimage of Christian’s wife Christiana, their son and Mercy. They follow through the same places, where Christian gone through but their journey is delayed in many places.
