Myths and Legends of Alaska is a collection of tales which has been narrated for generations by the native tribes of Alaska. Compiled and edited by Katharine Berry Judson who has edited many such works including “Myths and Legends of the Pacific Northwest,” And “Montana, „The Land of Shining Mountains”. The author specifies in the preface that how the world was created, evolution of creatures including birds, animals, human and evils. Many Alaskan myths are very long and do not endorse the human values, the author has presented only stories with morality and excluded stories such as intermarriage between men and birds.
