Synopsis

Buried Cities: Pompeii, Olympia, Mycenae is an interesting book about three ancient cities Pompeii, Olympia, and Mycenae and contains nice stories about the culture of the people lived there.  Pompeii was an ancient Roman city which was destroyed in 79 AD.  Olympia was an ancient Greek city known for Olympic Games. Mycenae was an ancient Greek city and one of the major centers of Greek civilization and was considered as military stronghold of Greek civilization. This book contains many drawings and photographs from original sources.   The author of this book Jennie Hall is a well know writer of historical writer remembered for his vibrant narratives and descriptions.  Among her many books notable include The Viking Tales, and Men of Old Greece.
