Synopsis

Ethicsis a philosophical treatise written byBenedictus de Spinoza, a Dutch Philosopher, recognized as the one of the most important thinkers of Western philosophy for his magnum opus The posthumous Ethics. His notable works include On the Improvement of the Understanding, The Philosophy of Spinoza and Theologico-Political Treatise.
Ethics written in five parts titling it as CONCERNING GOD, ON THE NATURE AND ORIGIN OF THE MIND, ON THE ORIGIN AND NATURE OF THE EMOTIONS and Of Human Bondage, or the Strength of the Emotions. This work addresses various things such as the relationship between God and the universe, human mind and body, human beings strive to persevere in their being, mind that direct us outwards to seek what gives pleasure and shun what gives pain and reason can govern the affects in the pursuit of virtue.
