Synopsis

The Upas Tree is a pulp fiction work written by the English Romance novelist Florence Lousia Barclay, whose magnum opus The Rosary narrated an undying love story. Among her numerous novels and short stories notable are The Wall of Partition, My Heart's Right There, The Wheels of Time, and The White Ladies of Worcester.
The Upas Tree is a romantic tale which portrays the self-sacrificing love of bygone era. To save the marriage and her own life, a wife hides the child from the selfish husband. The story takes the turn of a mystery during the midway and ends up in a noble note.
