Synopsis

War and Peacewritten byGraf Leo Tolstoyis a longest novel, though the author himself does not consider it to be in the standards of Russian literature of a novel, but he considers his Anna Karenina as a novel written himself.
War and Peace is the impact of French invasion of Russia and its impact on the society seen through five aristocratic families of Russia namely the Bezukhovs, the Bolkonskys, the Rostovs, the Kuragins and the Drubetskoys. Though it falls in the historic genre, there are fictitious characters also casted in this novel.
